We love getting into the details of how and where a fabric is milled, or what type of stitching is used, or different types of collar interlinings. We believe a good shirt should last for years. |
StyleWe're not trying to be fashionisto trendsetters here so don't expect us to push anything too crazy. However, we pay attention to what's popular, season and context appropriate and try to curate a range of colors and styles that are right for today's professional man. |
FitDress shirts are hard to fit because there are so many dimensions that matter (collar, sleeve, taper, length). All of our shirts are made to order and we give you unprecedented control over the size and shape of the shirt. You'll also get complimentary alterations on the first shirt ordered. |

  Seph started Proper Cloth in 2008 and is still closely involved in pretty much everything. He'll answer a lot of your phone calls and respond to your emails. He's also the designer responsible for this website and most of the shirt styles. He grew up in California and now lives in NYC.
